Larry has been a fitness enthusiast his entire life, whether it was playing outside as a child, weightlifting as a twelve year old, wrestling in high school, or working out in a “regular” gym as a young adult. In October 2009 he discovered CrossFit at a local affiliate and as his wife Chrissie says, “He drank the kool-aid” and “became addicted”. The first workout he was introduced to was a four minute Cindy (one of many CrossFit bench mark workouts) and by the time he was finished, realized that cardio was a huge factor missing from my regular weightlifting routine. Since then he has strived to diversify his workouts, which CrossFit does for him, every day. In November 2011, he received his CrossFit Level 1 Certification and is delighted to have the opportunity to coach at CrossFit Pandemic. Larry says, “Coaching over the last year has been an amazing experience for me. During this time I created new relationships and helped motivate many individuals to succeed in their fitness goals.” He is also a proud Daddy of three children; Kade, Brianna, and Gavin, and loves to share his passion for fitness with them by taking them for bike rides, walks, and playing outdoor activities with them. His main reasons for working out are to provide my children with a positive example of why fitness is important and also to improve his own well-being to thrive alongside my family. He is very excited and proud that his wife Chrissie now shares my passion of CrossFit. Thanks to some great sisters, they were able to get her to tip toe her way in and ever since has been here to stay. Who would have thought their late night pillow talks would be strategizing the next day’s WOD. I am also very excited to add a new chapter and adventure with my two friends.
