Through a series of seemless movements the athlete takes weight from the ground and brings it to there shoulders in a standing position. From the shoulders, again using coordinated movements, the weight is driven over head and supported in a fully standing position. Executed properly this movement is the way for an athlete to get the greates weight from the ground to supported overhead.

“Snatch”

(The fastest lift on earth)
 

Through a series of movements the athelete takes weight from the ground and lifts it overhead in one continuous motion. Executed properly this lift is the fastest way for an athlete to move large loads overhead.
